D. in Physics, McMaster University (2011) 2004 to 2006: M.Sc. in Physics, McMaster University (2006) 2000 to 2004: B.Sc. in Physics, St. Francis Xavier University (2004) Pat returned to McMaster in 2017 to work as a postdoctoral fellow and instrument scientist with the McMaster Neutron Scattering Program. In 2020 he became a limited term (teaching focused) Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Physics & Astronomy, and in 2021 he started a tenure-track position in the Physics of Quantum Matter.
Pat received his Bachelor's degree from St. Francis Xavier University, and carried out his graduate work at McMaster University with Prof. Bruce Gaulin. He completed his first postdoc at the University of Toronto, where he worked with Prof. Young–June Kim. Pat has held Banting, Heater, and McCall MacBain postdoctoral fellowships, and in 2013 he was awarded the John Charles Polanyi Prize in Physics. |
